About Kenneth Netardus

Kenneth R. Netardus is a partner at Stockard, Johnston, Brown, Netardus & Doyle, P.C. and the most experienced attorney at the firm by bar admission date. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Corporate Financial Management from St. Mary’s University in 1990, cum laude, and his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1994. Licensed in Texas since 1994, Kenneth has spent his entire career practicing oil and gas law, agriculture law, and commercial litigation, the last 25 of which have been in the Amarillo region, building one of the most experienced Panhandle energy and agricultural law practices in the region.

His career began at Sparkman & Davison, LLP, where he practiced commercial, oil and gas, and general civil litigation as an associate from 1995 to 2001. He then joined Sprouse Shrader Smith P.C. as an attorney shareholder, where he spent twelve years representing major oil companies, independent operators, farmers, ranchers, and business owners throughout the Texas Panhandle. In touch with the agricultural and oil and gas industries of the Panhandle, he developed a practice that encompasses oil and gas litigation, agricultural disputes, trademark and copyright matters, real property disputes, and business dissolution — the full spectrum of commercial legal issues that arise in the Panhandle’s energy and agricultural economy.

Kenneth and his wife Hillary — also a Texas Tech law graduate and an AABA Director — moved to Amarillo in 2001. Before graduating from Trinity University in San Antonio, their daughters were active 4-H members showing livestock, reflecting the family’s deep roots in the agricultural community Kenneth has served throughout his career. He joined Stockard, Johnston, Brown, Netardus & Doyle as a partner in July 2013, bringing nearly two decades of energy and agricultural law experience to the firm.
