About Jarrett Johnston

B. Jarrett Johnston — known professionally as Jarrett — is a founding partner of Stockard, Johnston, Brown, Netardus & Doyle, P.C. and one of the most experienced criminal defense attorneys in the Texas Panhandle. He earned his Bachelor of Science from West Texas A&M University in 2000 and his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2004. Licensed in Texas since 2004, Jarrett has spent his entire career defending clients in Panhandle courtrooms — building a record of hundreds of dismissals and favorable resolutions for clients who faced serious consequences.

His criminal defense practice spans the full range of charges the Texas Panhandle courts see — from Class C misdemeanors through first-degree felonies, including homicide, kidnapping, burglary, money laundering, aggravated assault, domestic violence, theft, DWI and DUI, drug charges, probation violations, and parole revocations. As a criminal defense attorney in the Amarillo and Borger Texas area, his approach is direct and aggressive: he attacks the prosecution’s case from every available angle — the legality of the stop or arrest, the validity of the search, the reliability of the evidence, and any procedural errors that could benefit his client. He has tried cases to juries in the Potter County and Randall County courts and has represented clients at parole hearings before the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.

Jarrett was a founding partner when Stockard, Johnston, Brown, Netardus & Doyle, P.C. opened on January 21, 2012 — having already spent eight years building his practice in Amarillo. He regularly handles criminal matters from both the Amarillo office and the firm’s Borger location, where he has developed strong ties to the Hutchinson County legal community.
